Happy Thanksgiving!

For those in the U.S., happy Thanksgiving!  (AKA, the day Americans gorge themselves on stuffing, pumpkin pie, and obscene amounts of delicious turkey.)

I left last night after my new, earlier work shift and drove the 3.5 hours to my parents’ house to drive the 1.5 hours to my Grandparents’ house today.  Got to see my Grandparents, my Aunt and Uncle and one cousin (the other was sick and binging on Doctor Who while knitting), and we ate turkey and ham and stuffing and pumpkin roll.  Half of us watched the football game, the rest played our family-rules of Hand and Foot, and my Mom spent the whole time trying to untangle my knitting yarn for me so I can finish one of my Christmas Presents.

Grandmom: “Ew, Krissye, what is that on your necklace?”
Me: “It’s a dragon!”
Grandmom: “It’s scary.”

half an hour later…

Aunt: “What is that on your necklace?”
Me: “It’s a dragon!”
Aunt: “……..It suits you.”

I hope you all had a pleasant day, whether you’re American or otherwise!
